Not only that, it balances other facial features too. At Ziba Beauty Artesia, you can have your eyebrows groomed by professionals, using an ancient Indian technique called Threading. Eyebrow threading involves the removal of unwanted hair using a cotton thread. Using the eastern technique, artists at Ziba Beauty work by following your facial structure. Using an antibacterial cotton thread, unwanted hair is removed with little to no irritation. After the removal of unwanted hair, the area is massaged using a Shea Butter Serum and Vitamins A, C and E to soothe the skin. To complete the look, the Beauty Artists at Ziba finish by using luxury cosmetics products from the Ziba Signature Collection. Body Waxing: You can also have unwanted hair removed from specific areas of your body with The Art of Waxing. Whether it’s around your arms or legs, Ziba Beauty artists can give your skin a fresh look, with exfoliation in the form of waxing. When it comes to waxing, we use an age-old recipe comprising of water-soluble sugar wax. The Ziba Beauty warm wax is applied gently onto the skin, to swiftly remove unwanted hair using the highest quality muslin cotton strips, leaving the skin smooth and soft. The process is accomplished in three steps. In step one, the beauty artist cleanses your skin to remove oils which will minimize pain. In step two, the wax is expertly applied, following the direction of hair growth and removed using a cotton strip. Lastly, the waxed area is treated, to protect and soothe your skin. 9 Benefits of Giving Your Skin Some TLC

Self-care mantras, mindfulness quotes and of course memes, are in abundance in 2018 and we’re all for it. Today we’re here to tell you about the self-care you’re probably neglecting: your skin. Whether you have a 10-step daily skin regimen or you stick to a simple cleanser/ moisturizing routine, healthy skin needs more from you. Our suggestion? Facials. Give your skin a little TLC with a facial treatment from one of our licensed estheticians and see the difference it makes, for yourself! In case you need some convincing as to why facials are worth investing in, here’s a list of just some of the many benefits: What your skin needs: Even if you don’t have acne, hyperpigmentation or any other skin drama, a facial is the best way to find out if your skin is in need of something or to find out how it is reacting to stress, allergies or anything else you might be dealing with. Like anything, it’s more than what you see on the surface. Facials help you de-stress and relax: Of course there are plenty of ways to DIY your skincare at home but there is something to be said about having a professional take care of you – it’s just like getting a massage or getting your nails done. Facials can help to reduce anxiety and negative moods because the massage is activating your parasympathetic nervous activity, which helps you rest and slow down. Cleanses your skin thoroughly:  Your licensed esthetician can understand your skin type and what it needs, including what is best to cleanse it. This is something that your face wash/ toner or anything else at home, can’t do. Helps blood circulation: If a massage helps to promote blood circulation in your body, then it is only fair that a facial massage does the same. Increased blood circulation means that there is more oxygen traveling with your blood and reaching your skin cells, which translates to healthier cells and a glowing face. Treats acne and scars: Professionals can treat your acne and any scars you may have from popping that pesky pimple 2 months ago. Regular facials can help reduce acne overall and therefore prevent any further scarring! Uses steam: A cause of acne and other skin issues can be the dirt that we encounter daily, from the moment we step outside. In order to remove dead cells, a facial expert will use steam to open up your pores and remove all the gunk that may be hiding inside. Prevents premature aging: Aging is 100% natural but our environment and life stressors can sometimes speed up the aging process. With a monthly facial, you can maintain your skin and prevent premature aging, as the TLC for your skin promotes collagen development and boosts cell regeneration which btw takes about 3 to 4 weeks in healthy skin. Hence, we recommend monthly facials if it’s possible for you. Removes whiteheads and blackheads: Whiteheads and Blackheads are your skin’s nemesis. They’re the ones making your skin look dull and lifeless and can cause the skin to look and feel bumpy. In a professional facial, your esthetician can extract whiteheads and blackheads with a special tool without creating unnecessary scarring and hurting your skin, that will occur if you keep letting your bff extract them for you. Increases absorption: All your at-home skin care regimens are probably not being as effective as they could be because you’re not getting a facial regularly. Why? A facial helps to increase your skin’s absorption abilities by making your skin soft and supple. Spending lots of money on expensive skin care is a waste when your face is only capable of absorbing it superficially. A facial may be a more pricey service but it could eliminate the need of expensive skincare because you’re increasing your absorption ability. Therefore you can use less harsh or milder formulas at home that can penetrate the skin fully; rather than using stronger and more expensive ones to try and get results that can’t be achieved because your skin is too tough and won’t yield to the product. Some skin care experts recommend that you should have a professional facial about every four weeks, as that’s how long it takes your skin to go through the full life cycle of skin cell growth. Of course there are times when life gets in the way and it’s not possible to get a facial, which is okay! All we say is that you remember that this IS an important choice, that should become a part of your lifestyle. If you have to continuously work out your muscles to get stronger and stay in shape, then your skin deserves the same tender love and care. Interested in learning more and getting a facial service? Eyebrow Threading or Waxing? Ziba Beauty Glendale Galleria Answers!

What’s the best method for shaping your eyebrows? Ziba Beauty Glendale Galleria answers this key question for you. For years, the most available method of shaping eyebrows was waxing.  As threading has become a more easily found option, the question is, which is better – eyebrow threading or waxing? Though both shaping methods can produce beautiful results, as a company who specializes in The Art of Threading, here’s what our brow experts and clients are saying their top 3 reasons are for choosing the ancient hair removal technique of The Art of Threading, as their top choice. 1.  Best Brow Shape Threading gives the Brow Artist complete control and precision. The Artist is able to remove a single hair, or line of hairs to achieve the best shape. As seen here, the model’s brows are perfectly shaped with a clean, defined brow and soft, arching shape that tapers naturally from the inside corner to the tail of the brow. With waxing, the Artist gives up some control and very often, a tell tale sign of waxing is a “hooked brow”. As the Artist smoothes wax under the brow to clean and shape the arch, rather than a smooth even taper, the wax will spread. When removed, the wax will create an inner corner that appears thick that transitions into an arch that looks dramatic and thin.  To try to avoid this hooked shape, Artists may wax the lid and then tweeze close to the brow, but 9 times of out 10 the shape will definitely have a hooked effect. 2.  Less Skin Reaction Threading is ideal for sensitive skin. Threading has little contact with the skin as the thread is gliding over the skin. Waxing however coats the skin and hair, pulling both, when the hair is removed.  This “ripping” effect can cause sensitive skin to turn red and feel very tender.  Another point to consider is that threading uses a cotton string to remove hair, whereas even the most natural waxes can contain resins, preservatives, fragrances and ingredients that can cause sensitive skin to react. 3. Accelerated Signs Of Aging Waxing pulls the skin and the nature of wax removal can disrupt the delicate skin around the eyes and brows.  Though no scientific study exists, many people believe that repeated waxing can cause the skin to lose elasticity and may result in drooping lids, or a more aged looking eye area, before its time.  Scientific proof or not, for the women who have waxed and then moved to threading, they feel the skin of the lids and brows is in better condition with threading than with waxing.  AND because the shape with threading is so precise, their brows appear natural and full and their eyes, even brighter, open and youthful. Did you find these points helpful, or have a few more you’d like to share? We’d love to know! Visit the Ziba Beauty Studio at Glendale Galleria for your eyebrow threading, body waxing and henna needs, with our expert beauty artists. Serving Glendale, San Fernando Valley, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose, Los Angeles and nearby areas.

Eyebrow Styling Tips from Ziba Beauty Serramonte

Ziba Beauty Serramonte Center presents Eyebrow Styling Tips! Making sure that your brow style is on point, both punctuates your look and starts your day off right. Eyebrows frame the most important feature on your face and enhance your overall facial structure. There are 2 simple steps to beautiful brows: Shape and Finish. 1. Eyebrow Shape The artistry of gorgeous brows comes down to good ol’ geometry. Shaping your brows is all about assessing angles and the placement of your facial features and contours – which means your perfect brow shape is special to YOU and YOUR pretty face. This is why the help of a professional Brow Artist is key to getting your brows in shape. It’s easier, fool-proof and far safer than the dreaded tweezer. So how do you get beautiful brows designed specially for you? Two ways: Eyebrow Threading Threading is a clean and chemical-free hair removal technique that uses thread (not exactly the kind you sew with but similar) to remove hair. Thread is wrapped around the hair and pulls it out directly from the follicle. It’s a highly specialized and effective treatment that is extremely precise, gentle on the skin and only takes 5-10 minutes. Unlike waxing, which requires the hair to be a certain length, threading can remove very short and fine hairs without breakage. Eyebrow Waxing Similar to threading, waxing pulls hair directly from the root. If you prefer waxing, choose a natural recipe that is equally effective and less irritating, like Ziba’s. With this service, the wax is smeared on top of the skin, then hardens around the hairs and is swiftly lifted to remove the hair. 2. Brow Finish Similar to the way mascara finishes your eye makeup, brow makeup finishes the eyebrow. Brow crayons, pencils, pomades and highlighters are great for filling in and enhancing what nature gave you. They can also extend the life of your shaping treatment! Before you finish your brows, take a minute to understand your options. Flip through any magazine or scroll through Instagram and you’ll spot (and probably covet) the bold brows on friends, celebs, and influencers. Full brows are in and the trend seems here to stay, so embrace it! Luckily almost anyone CAN achieve a bold brow. Here are 3 ways to achieve the look: Bold and Angular Brows This styling technique is all about accentuating your brow arch. Create a crisp, solid line along the base of the brow with a brow crayon and blend with a brow pomade working from the bottom up to the top. Finally, fill in any patchy areas of brow with a brow crayon. Use a highlighter above and below the brow line to really define the brow. Feathered Brows This is a natural look with a focus on texture. First, fill your brows in with a true match brow crayon. Then, using a brow crayon that is one shade darker than the crown, flick upward through the brow creating the look of little hairs, especially at the inner brow. Natural Brows For this brow style, the goal is to create a fluid perimeter with less emphasis on crisp lines. Play up the shape of your brow with volume and color using a brow crayon and pomade. Your best accessories are the brows you are born with. Style them right and walk out the door with confidence. Visit Ziba Beauty Studio at Serramonte Center for your eyebrow threading and shaping, waxing and henna needs, with expert beauty artists.
